FAN SAFETY GUIDELINES

 
 

The well-being of our guests and staff is always our top priority, and as we return to events, heightened sanitation, health, and safety protocols will be in place at Payne Arena. The new procedures and processes follow guidelines set forth by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local agencies; the City of Hidalgo Office of Emergency Management, the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services, and the Texas Department of State and Health Services (TDSHS).

 

Please Note:

• Bags and purses will not be permitted. Wallet-size clutches no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” will be permitted.  For Disney on Ice events, parenting bags will also be permitted.

• Face masks are required to be worn inside Payne Arena at all times, except when actively eating and drinking in a ticketed seat. All persons age 10 years and older must wear a face covering. Face shields may not be worn in place of a face mask, though may be worn in addition to a face mask.

Arena Entry

We ask that guests maintain at least 6 feet of distance between other patrons outside of their immediate party as they arrive at arena entrances. Additional distancing instructions will be provided for guests upon entry into the building. Guests will go through a minimal-contact security screening.

Bag Policy

Bags and purses will not be permitted. Wallet-size clutches no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” will be permitted.  FOR DISNEY ON ICE ONLY: Parenting Bags will also be permitted. 


Box Office

UPDATE 11/01/20

Box Office hours through December 31, 2020.

Tickets may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com. The interior box office windows will be open during events for guest assistance with distancing protocols in place. 

Cleaning Protocols

High touch surfaces and heavily trafficked areas within Payne Arena will be continuously cleaned and disinfected throughout events.  After every event, all spaces and seating areas will go through an additional rigorous disinfection process. 

Elevators & Escalators

Elevators and escalators will be available for use with proper social distancing practices followed.  Only 4 guests plus elevator attendant allowed per elevator.  On escalators, guests must allow for at least 6 feet distance between themselves and other parties. Touch-points will be sanitized regularly.


Face Coverings

Face coverings are required to be worn once you exit your vehicle or public transportation and inside of Payne Arena at all times, except when actively eating and drinking in a ticketed seat. All persons age 10 years and older must wear a face covering. Face shields may not be worn in place of a face mask, though may be worn in addition to a face mask.

Food & Beverage

Food & beverage operations will maintain the highest standards of compliance with current health and safety regulations. Distancing guidelines will be displayed to allow for proper line queuing.

  • Cashless transactions are highly encouraged to minimize contact.

  • Distancing guidelines will be provided for guests while waiting in line

  • Food and beverage items will be covered when served.

  • Condiments, utensils, and straws will be provided in individual packets upon request.

  • All contact surfaces will be cleaned in between guest transactions.

  • Food and drink is to only be consumed once the guest has returned to their seat and face coverings can be safely (and temporarily) removed. No food or drink may be consumed in bars, restaurants, or on the concourses

The Hangar Fan Shop

Capacities will be limited within store to allow for social distancing while shopping. Markers will be located on floor to allow for social distancing during check out.



Parking

We recommend pre-purchasing parking prior to arrival at PayneArena.com.  If you have pre-purchased, leave your window rolled up as you approach parking attendant.  Parking attendant will scan your mobile parking ticket on your phone through your window. 

If guests have not pre-purchased parking, some lots may be available to purchase at arrival.  All parking transactions are credit card & debit card only. 

As you exit your vehicle and approach the building, please remain 6 feet away from other patrons and wear your face mask. 

Physical Distancing

Guests are required to practice physical distancing inside and outside of Payne Arena. Physical distancing (6 feet apart) messaging will be present in all high traffic areas.

Restrooms

Restrooms will be sanitized and cleaned frequently. Some stalls, urinals and sinks will be closed to facilitate physical distancing. Guests must wash their hands before returning to their seats.

Seating & Event Capacities

Seating charts and event capacities will be determined per event to ensure physical distancing for all guests. Unique seating maps will be created for each event to allow for proper distancing between seated groups.

Staff

All staff must have temperature taken when arriving at work and be fever and symptom-free. Staff are required to wear face masks at all times while at Payne Arena other than while actively eating and drinking on break.

Smoking

Smoking will not be permitted on the premises.

Ticketing

All tickets will be digital and available on guests’ mobile devices. Tickets purchased from Payne Arena Box will be available through the Ticketmaster and Payne Arena box office.

Strollers

For Disney on Ice, strollers will be permitted into the arena concourse areas.  Strollers must be checked in with Guest Services prior to entering the seating bowl.


COVID-19 Warning

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By attending any event at Payne Arena, you assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of contracting COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, or a bacteria, virus, or other pathogens capable of causing a communicable disease or illness, whether occurring before, during, or after the event, however, caused or contracted, and voluntarily waive all claims and potential claims against Payne Arena, City of Hidalgo, event promoters, vendors, and their affiliated companies, and any of their respective present and future subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, members, officers, directors, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, agents, other representatives, successors and assigns event promoters, vendors, and their affiliated companies relating to such risks.
